Campaign Goals Our Campaign’s

The main goal of our campaigns are:

  • Advocate policies around reducing underage drinking .
  • Change community and social norms that promote youth consumption or unhealthy use of alcohol. Promote pro-youth advertising
  • Challenge corporations to change advertising practices that promote alcohol to youth, or glamorize alcohol to expect unrealistic and misleading results, I.e. Alcohol makes me sexy, sporty, rich, valued, etc. in areas where youth are frequently exposed.

Hands off Holidays
Hands off Holidays is a campaign started in March 2002 by the North City Prevention Coalition. This campaign focuses on the importance of keeping alcohol advertising from saturating the true meaning of holidays. READ MORE...

 

Safe Beach Task Force
Force Statistics on crime and alcohol related offenses in the beach area clearly show significant harm for residents and visitors. Research recommends environmental approaches to reducing such harm. READ MORE..

 

Cinco de Mayo con Orgullo
The San Diego Cinco de Mayo Con Orgullo Coalition began in August of 2001 and has embarked on a mission to reclaim cultural celebrations–such as Cinco de Mayo–and cultural symbols from the alcohol industry. READ MORE...

 

San Diego Youth Council
The San Diego is a group of teens working together to help spread the word about the dangers of drinking among their peers. Check out their recent campaign, “Don’t by the Lie” READ MORE
